Nicolas J. Labbit was born and raised in Nacogdoches, Texas. He attended Stephen F. Austin State University in his hometown and received a B.B.A. in Computer Information Systems in 2007. After graduating from college, he attended Texas Wesleyan University School of Law in Fort Worth, Texas and received his J.D. in 2010.
Nicolas has always had a strong interest in computers and other areas of electronic technology which led him to the Computer Information Systems program at SFA. There he discovered his interest in the area of law, which he combined with his existing interest and knowledge of technology. In Texas Wesleyan University School of Law, he focused his class load and pro bono requirements on intellectual property issues, including being one of the founding members and treasurer of the Intellectual Property Law Association. He graduated from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law as one of five students to receive the new certificate in intellectual property from the law school.
After graduating from law school Nicolas joined Stevens Love as part of the Stevens Love intellectual property litigation team where he utilizes his knowledge of computers, electronic technology, and intellectual property law to handle research and analysis of intellectual property rights at all case stages.
